Tyler Labine

Tyler Labine was born in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. In his early childhood, his family moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, and it was there, 16 years ago, that Tyler began his acting career in a local theater production. Soon after, Tyler was featured in smaller roles on various television series and movies of the week. He then landed one of the lead roles (Jimmy) on the UPN hit, "Breaker High." From there he went on to work in some major feature films, including Robert Altman's Trixie, Marine Life with Cybill Shepherd and Antitrust with Tim Robbins. He also had the opportunity to work opposite musician David Bowie in the film Mr. Rice's Secret.

Tyler's reputation and fan base grew when he landed the lead role of Scotty on the popular WB series, "Dead Last." Tyler's work caught the attention of several network heads and, upon the cancellation of "Dead Last," a bidding war between ABC and the WB ensued. Ultimately Tyler elected to sign a development deal with ABC, and that relationship produced the short-lived series, “That Was Then". This spring, he filmed the pilot, “Invasion” (from producer Shaun Cassidy and director Thomas Schlamme) for ABC, which was the number one show on television for the 2005-2006 season. Tyler recently enjoyed the challenge of portraying John Belushi on NBC’s “Behind the Camera: Mork & Mindy,” and will be seen in the upcoming features, “Letters,” with Ewen Bremner.

During his down time, the Los Angeles-based Tyler joins his brother and his best friend in the hip hop band, "Figures of Speech." Tyler is a talented turntableist and MC. The band jams and records their music in their home studio. Also an avid snowboarder, Tyler enjoys the resorts of Whistler/Blackcomb and likes to spend time at his family cottage in Ontario.
